During my recent mission to meet the community of Pehuenco, I saw the need for our presence there.

The priority missions of the NGO Order of the South Star
The Kingdom's NGO focuses its efforts on three pillars of sustainable and cultural development for the Pehuenco community:
1. Safeguarding Identity: Mapudungun Courses
Language is the bedrock of cultural sovereignty. The NGO wants to fund Mapudungun learning programs for children, delivered by community elders (Kimches). We will provide the educational materials and logistics necessary for this transmission.
2. International Ambition: Education Abroad
To ensure that the voice of Araucania carries far, we want to accompany the most deserving students in their studies abroad projects. The NGO will support mobility grants, enabling these young people to acquire international expertise for the benefit of their home communities.
3. Winter Solidarity: Cohesion Activities
Winter in the Lonquimay region (especially near the Pino Hachado Route) means extreme isolation. Our NGO wishes to organise and finance educational and sporting winter activities, offering a structured and warm environment for children during the harshest months.

Transparency note: As a human rights NGO, the Order of the South Star guarantees that 100% of the funds raised for this project will be used for technical work and direct assistance to the communities of Pehuenco.
